Australian space-tech start-up developing a new AI platform

Starbound is an Australian space-tech start-up developing a new AI platform that distils top global human rocket science experience into our helpful AI Virgil. Virgil helps companies to access the space market by streamlining the technical compliance processes.

We speak with CEO Shaun Kenyon who has been at the cutting edge of the space industry for 18 years, across multiple countries. He designed, built and operated 20 satellites in orbit and has worked in some of the biggest space companies in the world.

Shaun will be presenting at Indo-Pacific Space and Earth Conference, 26 November 2024 to be held at the Crown, Perth. This will be a key part of an extensive week of space-related activities the Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum’s (APRSAF) 30th annual session as well as industry technical tours. Shaun’s IAC abstract is available here https://iafastro.directory/iac/paper/id/88801/abstract-pdf/IAC-24,D5,2,7,x88801.brief.pdf?2024-03-27.10%3A50%3A16

Shaun presented “the results of a proof of concept demonstration, capturing the experience of high profile experienced engineers with world-class reputations in diverse space domains such as ”New Space”, CubeSats, and ”By the book” ESA and Geostationary missions, and show how the information is combined and recorded by Pythia, and applied by a second AI system ‘Virgil’.”
